Thailand Monday demanded Cambodia to remove the Keo Sikha Kiri Svara Pagoda and Cambodian national flag flying over the pagoda from the border disputed area adjacent to the Hindu temple of Preah Vihear. The Foreign Ministry issued a statement to maintain its claim that the Buddhism pagoda built by Cambodian since 1998 "is situated on Thai territory." The statement was issued days after Phnom Penh rejected Thai demand to remove the Cambodian national flag from the pagoda. Phnom Penh said last Friday that Cambodian national flag is legitimated to fly over the pagoda which is situated in the territory of Cambodia.
